Good morning everyone! With our first-ever SkySoft Fest right around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to let you know what to expect this weekend!

Next off, we wanted to give a little background information for the Zoom after-party events! The link for the events will be posted here as well as on our social media channels during the event.

First off, while this meeting will be hosted on Zoom, you DO NOT need to sign up for Zoom or have an account to join. You'll be able to join through your browser. No pressure to have to download anything extra if you don't want to!

Here's how the events will work:

For Trivia, we'll be joining on Zoom and will have numerous Breakout Rooms for you and your team to meet up in! I'll ask each of the questions per round while you are all on mute, then break you out into your rooms to fill out your answer choices on a Google Form (the link for the Forms will be provided on the day of the event). We'll then come back into the main room and discuss the answers! It'll be a fun and fast four rounds!

For Karaoke, we will be using a Google Doc for sign-ups (the link will be provided on the day of the event). Due to time restrictions, we will only be able to have about 40 singers performing, so this will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Since there is a chance of possible drop-outs, we will also have a "waitlist" for the next 10 singers that sign up. If you're shy and don't want to sing, you can obviously still participate without singing at all and just enjoy the show! Please be kind and courteous towards others and only sign up for one song so that we can get as many people to sing as possible. If we end up still having room on the song list, we will let you know so you can sign up for a second song.

In order to prevent lag as much as possible, we'll be asking each of you to share your own computer audio when it is your turn to sing. In order to do that, follow these instructions:

On your main screen, you will see a green button on the bottom of your screen that says "Share Screen;" you can't miss it, it's the only colorful button!

From there, a window will pop up asking what you want to share. On that window, you will see three tabs: Basic, Advanced, and Files. Click on "Advanced" (it's the one in the middle!)

In the Advanced tab, you'll see another three options: Portion of Screen, Music Or Computer Sound Only, and Content from 2nd Camera. Click on "Music or Computer Sound Only" (once again, it's the one in the middle!) and then finally click the blue "Share" button!

After that, you'll see a green bar at the top of your screen that says "You are sharing computer sound" next to a red bar that says "Stop Share." Once you are done with your song, click "Stop Share!"

We will gladly review these instructions day-of as well, so if you don't quite get it yet, we'll walk you through it when it's your turn to sing!

Please have your song (preferably a karaoke version) ready to go on the day of (either through YouTube or through your music player), so that when it's your turn we can get you singing right away!

When it is your turn to sing, please start with your volume LOW! After a few test runs, we've found that putting your music at about 10% volume works surprisingly well! Of course, if we need you to raise the volume we'll let you know!
