JUST ANNOUNCED: Eve and Ronin Series In The Works

SPOILERS AHEAD

With the end of Fox here at our feet, it's a strange feeling to think of SkySoft continuing without the show. It was the series that started everything. Its pretty safe to say that without Fox there would be no SkySoft. Originally started as a passion project with a dream to achieve more, Fox brought so many talents together from around the world. Although the show was shot [for the majority] in San Diego, California- the post production team shared digital files across the net from several places within the nation and in three other countries. This process of post- production is nothing new; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith was shot primarily in Australia and digital files were sent to SkyWalker Ranch and other offices to piece together before the due date. Its the only way to get a huge project done in a short amount of time. In the age of YouTube, where everything is done by primarily one person, three people at most- this process put SkySoft on a whole different level. In many ways, Fox served as a platform for these talents to learn how to manage their workload efficiently under the guidance of Monroe Hayden; it can arguably be the best approach in providing actual experience for post- production job seekers.

But with all this accomplishment comes a bittersweet ending for the series that provided all the experience in the first place. The only thing that could possibly render the situation and the legacy, of which the character and series has given, is to continue the lore. And that is exactly what is in store.

The end of the series showed us Fox and Daisy's anticipated wedding coupled with a glimpse into the future of her death. They begin young and fresh out of a war [actually its not quite explained how much time has passed since the great battle] then end with our favorites old and grey. An old and white bearded Oron carries a dying, aging Fox to an older Daisy. As the scene proceeds from fade ins from the present and future, we see an older Deja stand next to Oron, then the most tear jerking moment of the decade fades onto our screens as Fox and Daisy's daughter runs to Fox's side and weeps. Fox dies looking into Daisy's eyes with their child holding onto her; exactly the way she wanted to go.

As we continue, Ronin, Fox's daughter, is seen preparing to lead an army to finish what her mother started all those years ago. "My mother brought the light. I'm here to keep it," she says. A statement that allures to the hope of this new generation as well as a passing of the torch from Hayden to newcomer, Jamie Owens. Ronin and a Baptism of Storms is due in 2021 or 2022 with Owens taking the lead.

But perhaps you remember, not too long ago, that Eve was announced; a prequel to the events that led to Fox. That is also scheduled for a 2021 release with recent news that the one and only, Janelle Garcia will reprise her role in the six episode series renamed to Eve and the Fall of the Seven.

So although we too must say goodbye to Fox, the future is something every Fox fan can look forward to.

Fox: Season IV (Special Edition) now available

Fox ’s Special Edition is the director’s cut of the 2019 American fantasy series Fox: Season IV . It presents the final season as director Monroe Hayden had intended it before interference with investors. Hayden oversaw the original versions of Fox ’s Seasons 3 and 4’s in accordance with a mandate from the show’s investors with a more traditional score, abandoning Season 2’s musical platform that featured original compositions from four composers, including Hayden.  The switch was not taken lightly, but she proceeded anyway. However, in the event of 365: Season 2’s flop, investors pressured her to take the season down within 24 hours. Less than a year later, she re-released the season on the site only to receive backlash from fans, as well as the same investors. The decision to take it down for good inspired her to buy the investors out with interest. By January 2021, she had bought them out, in full, and now has complete control, particularly with the Fox franchise. Although i...

SkyWire Awards 2019

Courtesy of SkySoft The end of the year is fast approaching, which means it’s time for SkySoft’s 2nd Annual SkyWire Awards, an opportunity to look back at the past year of SkySoft and acknowledge the hard work, talent, and dedication of our cast and crew. Before we get into the nominees, there is another important announcement in regards to the voting procedures. This year, because Season 2 of 365 was entered into the vault early, voting is closed off to the public, which means the fan award segment will also not be featured. Additionally, moving forward there will no longer be a fan award segment, and all winners will be chosen by an unbiased third party, just like a majority of the winners were decided last year. For a reminder of the rules and categories (how and why nominees are selected, how and why winners are chosen, and more information), please consult our earlier post explaining the SkyWire awards here: https://skysoftentertainment.blogspot.com/2018/12...
