London, England - On Friday, 9 April 2021, Buckingham Palace released the news that the
Queen's beloved husband,
The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh died peacefully in his sleep at Windsor Castle. The death of the duke comes after a period of poor health. The prince spent a month in two London hospitals battling an infection and underwent heart surgery, before being discharged in March. It is unclear how the Royal Family will conduct funeral arrangements due to the ongoing pandemic but ensures that announcements will be made in due course. The prince was 99 years old.
